In the second part of a deeper dive look at the influx of international business in the Austin area, the Austin Business Journal spoke to several economic development officials to pull back the veil on what happens on foreign trips. What they described were essentially marketing trips with an underlying goal: promote Texas, answer questions about things like permitting and workforce, and start relationships that will lead to investments down the line.
