Velocity, a 314-acre master-planned district entitled for seven million square feet of space and situated east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, began vertical framing on construction of the ambitious development’s first phase earlier this week. Austin Business Journal first reported on the land that would become Velocity in 2015, and it has taken some twists and turns along the way to finally get where it is today.
